Our Mission

We want you to become an agent of change, for your ideas to come to light and thanks to your talents to generate your own income.

Turning Talent into Opportunity
Helping youth transform their skills into sustainable businesses.

Proyecta Mentory is an organization that provides mentoring to young people in Peru so they can create businesses based on their talents. Many of today’s great stars were once kids with big talent who simply received the right support at the right time. For example, Mozart had already composed his first symphony at eight and an opera at 12. He had his father’s support, without it, we might not even know his name today.

Kids have initiative and talent, but not all of them get the support they need. Parents often “shut their light off” and tell them to wait until they’re grown-ups to work on their ideas. In Peru, many young people also lack support because of limited resources: some are even forced to stop attending school to help at home with chores. Our mission is to change these kids’ lives by strengthening and developing their talents. For instance, if a student loves writing, we help them publish an e-book. This can create passive income and, hopefully, improve their economic situation.

Developing and trusting individual talents is so important, because you never know how far that talent can take you. Although this was our motivation to start Proyecta Mentory, we decided to increase our reach by creating an international program, so every young student can create their own business. Once they have developed a business initiative, on the Proyecta Mentory website they will find a sales portal where their products or services can be offered, so they don’t have to struggle on where to make the commerce. This is the main task, however, we also offer talks, webinars and workshops by experts so that young people receive specialized training given by experts in the areas of their interests and once a year, we organize a project competition, where the winning projects receive special funding. All these secondary activities help our students stand out and get a spike in their area of business. Having the opportunity to talk to an expert of their area of interest will help them get even more ideas and guidance on the business/project they’ll develop. Students are currently working on a variety of fields, going from arts, crafts and design, to agriculture and environmental projects

we’re here to all your questions

Of course. If you have an existing project, Proyecta Mentory helps you have more scope, polish details, and focus on your objectives.

It doesn’t have to be a physical product. The product or service you offer can be both physical and virtual. If it is physical, you must specify which regions/countries you can ship to. Don’t worry, we also advise you on how to distribute your product.

In the first meeting we can learn a little more about you and your interests, and we can give you mentoring to discover your true passion. We advise you and take talent tests to identify those areas in which you stand out exceptionally. Then, we guide you and provide mentoring to build a business based on that talent.

Don’t worry, that’s exactly why Proyecta Mentory was created. We will work with you to help you build your business. You will have several options to obtain your capital, such as presenting your idea to Proyecta Mentory in the annual contest and you will be able to win funds for your project, for us to help you run a fundraising campaign, etc.

Proyecta Mentory does not charge for advice, but at the end of each month/year (depending on what is agreed between Proyecta Mentory and the advised student), Proyecta Mentory keeps 10% of the income. This percentage is used to cover the operating expenses of Proyecta Mentory, that is, it is not for profit.
